Cuphead is a game with a focus on boss fights and run-and-gun levels, housed in one of four worlds. The game has simple, regular, and expert difficulty modes, with progress unlocking expert mode for each level. Players have infinite lives and can purchase Equippable weapons and special abilities, known as Charms, from Porkrind's Emporium.
The game has three Super Arts, one in each of the first three worlds, and players are ranked based on performance. Cuphead's brother Mugman is an alternative skin and potential co-op partner. The DLC expansion, Delicious Last Course, introduces new bosses, weapons, and Charms.
